Who Needs a Prostate Anyway?

Last picture of Opa with his prostate. That's Peg next to Opa, not Opa's prostate. They're about to drive from Dover, NH to Manchester, NH to have Opa's prostate removed.
Jim will meet them there, no room for 2 men, 2 prostates and Peg in the car, so Jim has to ride.

A couple of miles up the road from Opa's house. A pond of Lillie pads with foliage changing colors in the background.

Manchester's an old Mill town. The Mills have long been shut down. Crossing the Merrimack River here.
45 miles of rolling backroads from Dover to Manchester. Thursday's supposed to rain a bit but today was fab.
Getting close to target in Manchester, NH.

Some of Manchester's mills have found new uses, this one an office park.
Opa's hospital across the river in Manchester.
Opa getting a little TLC from Peg. Obviously the man no longer has a prostate!
Back home in Dover, a quick dinner at Newick's. Clam chowder and Fisherman's platter. Guess Jim will have to ride this off tomorrow.
Good day for all. Opa had a successful prostate surgery. Jim had a most triumphant bike ride from Dover to NH.
The roads in NH are so nice. Again well paved and 35-45 mph speed limits with cars seeming to observe them. Lots of rollers - 2500 feet of climbing in 45 miles similar to a Hill Country ride near the bike shop. 10 mph headwind all day and more uphill than downhill today made for a good workout. Opa lives at around 100' above Sea Level, Jim maxed out near Manchester at 550'.
Tomorrow may be payback - Jim plans to drive with Peg to pick Opa up from the hospital, then ride back from there. Hopefully some downhill tailwind. There may be rain, but no big deal.
If all goes as planned Friday will be a Maine coastal ride of around 80-100 miles from Dover to Kittery, ME, then up the coast to Kennebunkport, vacation home of Fearless Leader. Saturday should be sunny and cooler (today got up to 90, nearly a record high, Saturday should be in the low 70's.) The ride that day should be 80 - 100 miles Northwest around Lake Winnipesaukee.
Wish Opa a good nights rest and a day as painfree tomorrow as possible!!

Glad to hear that Opa is doing well. He has the best nurse by his side (and the best doc too)!
Love,
Terri and boys
